Webinar: Noise Control and Hearing Conservation

Natalia Olive - Safety Education & ConsultingYou can cover your eyes, close your mouth, pinch your nose or cover your skin, but it’s impossible to avoid detecting sounds around you. Noise is everywhere, and in the right dose and frequency, is capable of causing irreparable damage.

This course will discuss the possible sources of harmful noise in a manufacturing or construction environment. We’ll review the preferred methods to protect workers from these noise sources using the established hierarchy of controls. Specifically regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the course will review the various types available for hearing protection and how best to apply them depending on the situation.

Finally, we will discuss the elements needed to implement a successful and compliant Hearing Conservation program, as established by OSHA in 29 CFR 1910.95 for general industry and 29 CFR 1926.52 and 101 for construction.

Bring your own agenda! Please plan to share any specific points you’d like to discuss either beforehand by email or at the start of the live webinar. Plan accordingly to keep your phone line open throughout the call and share your thoughts and questions.
